ZLINE Kitchen and Bath
Evolution of Lifestyle Imagery
Render by Yuriy Leskiv of Viskel Studios
My most lasting responsibility at ZLINE Kitchen and Bath was to examine and improve upon the production and development of lifestyles— images that showcase products in ways our customers would find aspirational.
I accomplished this across composite, rendered, and photographic methods.

Lifestyles at ZLINE
This project traces the development of lifestyle imagery at ZLINE Kitchen and Bath from 2020-2025. Beginning with limited visual assets, my work evolved and was shaped by through limited resources, iteration, and, later on, expanded production capabilities.
Composite Image Creation
My early image production relied on what we called “frankenstein-ing,” or compositing environments using existing source material. These lifestyle scenes were created from stock photography and product assets.

Reworking Old and Archived Imagery
I frequently revisited and updated old and tossed-aside imagery to reflect evolving visual standards or to differentiate product launches. Through digital editing, these assets were refined in terms of color, lighting, and product placement.

Development of Rendered Environments
As production capabilities expanded, I collaborated with 3D render artists to create full digital environments. These images allowed us to focus more on composition, the product’s material consistency, and lighting.

Studio and On-Location Photography
In parallel, I directed lifestyle photography both in studio and on-location. These shoots translated earlier visual concepts into physical spaces, working with human subjects, lighting, material surfaces, and lived-in context.
Lookbook Development
Jumping into the world of 3D Renders lead to the development of annual Lookbooks for the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. I conceptualized and designed multiple volumes, curating mostly rendered and digitally edited imagery into a cohesive visual publication. A look into the process for the most recent publication can be found here.
